About me

I'm Ualisson Bellon, a Brazilian Geoscientist residing in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, Scotland . This notebook is a space for sharing my personal experiences and insights as a magnetic individual.  Get ready to be attracted or repelled – those are your only options!

From nanoscopic scale particles to planetary fields:

As a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Mineral Magnetism at the University of Edinburgh, I delve into the fascinating world of magnetic mineralsInspired by pioneers like James Hutton, I aim to uncover the mysteries of our planet's magnetic field and its behaviour over of billions of years.

I am particularly interested in the properties of tiny magnetic particles, how they can record and store the information of ancient magnetic fields. By bridging state-of-art micromagnetic models with synchrotron imaging techniques, and magnetic microscopy I hope to help our scientific community to explore a new future for palaeomagnetic sciences!
